Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of services provided by LDigital Developments Ltd ("LDigital", "we", "us", or "our") including but not limited to web hosting, cloud services, domain registration, and related services ("Services").

By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account without notice.

You may not use our Services for any of the following prohibited activities:

2.1 Illegal Activities

2.2 Harmful or Malicious Activities

  • Malware, viruses, trojans, or other harmful code distribution
  • Phishing, spoofing, or social engineering attacks
  • Unauthorized access to computer systems or networks (hacking)
  • Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
  • Network scanning, port scanning, or vulnerability testing without permission
  • Botnet command and control operations
  • Cryptocurrency mining without explicit permission

2.3 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam)
  • Email bombing or mail flooding
  • Operating open mail relays or proxies
  • Harvesting email addresses without consent
  • SMS spam or unsolicited text messaging
  • Forum spam or blog comment spam

2.4 Abusive Content

  • Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior
  • Hate speech or discriminatory content
  • Adult content involving minors
  • Revenge porn or non-consensual intimate images
  • Content that promotes violence or self-harm
  • Doxxing or publishing private information without consent

2.5 Resource Abuse

  • Excessive use of system resources that impacts other users
  • Running processes that consume excessive CPU, memory, or bandwidth
  • Storage of backup files or non-web content on web hosting accounts
  • File sharing or torrenting that violates copyright laws
  • Proxy or VPN services without explicit permission

3. Content Restrictions

3.1 Prohibited Content Types

  • Adult Content: Pornographic material, escort services, or adult dating sites
  • Gambling: Online gambling, lottery, or betting services where prohibited by law
  • Weapons: Sale of firearms, ammunition, or weapons
  • Pharmaceutical: Unlicensed pharmacy operations or prescription drug sales
  • Counterfeit Goods: Replica or counterfeit products
  • Extremist Content: Content promoting extremist ideologies or terrorism

3.2 Copyright and Intellectual Property

  • All content must be original or properly licensed
  • Respect Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) requirements
  • Do not host copyrighted material without permission
  • Comply with takedown requests from copyright holders

4. Technical Restrictions

4.1 System Integrity

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Do not interfere with the proper functioning of our network
  • Do not attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Report security vulnerabilities responsibly

4.2 Network Usage

  • Maintain reasonable bandwidth usage
  • Do not create excessive load on shared resources
  • Follow any specific resource limits for your service plan
  • Do not engage in activities that degrade network performance

4.3 Server Configuration

  • Follow secure coding practices
  • Keep software and applications updated
  • Use strong authentication methods
  • Do not run unauthorized services or daemons

5. Compliance Requirements

5.1 Data Protection

  • Comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Implement appropriate data security measures
  • Obtain necessary consents for data processing
  • Respect user privacy rights

5.2 Industry Regulations

  • Healthcare: HIPAA compliance where applicable
  • Financial: PCI DSS compliance for payment processing
  • Education: FERPA compliance for educational records
  • Government: Any applicable sector-specific regulations

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

6.1 Our Rights

LDigital reserves the right to:

  • Monitor usage for compliance with this AUP
  • Investigate suspected violations
  • Suspend or terminate services for policy violations
  • Cooperate with law enforcement when required
  • Remove content that violates this policy

6.2 Enforcement Actions

Violations may result in:

  • Warning: First-time minor violations
  • Content Removal: Removal of violating content
  • Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of services
  • Account Termination: Permanent termination without refund
  • Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement or civil action

LDigital complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and maintains safe harbor protections. We will:

  • Provide counter-notification procedures
  • Terminate accounts of repeat infringers
  • Maintain a designated agent for copyright notices

  • LDigital is not responsible for user-generated content
  • We do not pre-screen or approve content
  • Users are solely responsible for their content and activities
  • This AUP does not create additional obligations for LDigital
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone

This AUP may be updated periodically to reflect:

  • Service improvements
  • Industry best practices

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
